Meet The Team.
“We’re Rachael and Steph, the founders of Paw Quarters.”
Our passion and love for all things dogs started from as early as we can remember with us both growing up with family pooches. We have a high knowledge and understanding of dogs, with a combined experience of 14+ years. From previous work in the daycare setting since 2015 we took the brave leap into opening our own in 2018 and haven’t looked back. Our aim is to create a fun, simulating and safe environment which you will be happy to leave your fur babies.
All our PQ staff are canine first aid trained along with continued training in all things dog related.
Rachael.
About:
Rachael has over 10+ years experience with dogs and has adored animals for as long as she can remember. Prior to working with dogs, Rachael was both a senior care assistant and Maternity care assistant – caring for others has always come naturally to her and this shows in her care for all the pooches that attend PQ. She is very proud to have turned her biggest passion into a career that she loves each and every day!
Fur baby:
Martha, Beagle x Cavalier. Taken on all the typical beagle traits, nose to the ground, searching for her next treat, over 10 years old but no signs of slowing down! She is a real talker, especially when it’s play time or dinner time.
Experience:
Rachael has over 10+ years experience and has a short course certificate in basic dog grooming & understanding dogs. She is also Canine First Aid trained and continues with developing her knowledge of anything dogs. Rachael also attends with the rest of the PQ staff on-going training with PQ’s own vet physiotherapist.
Steph.
About:
Steph has over 10+ years experience with dogs and has been an animal lover from a very young age. Her wide spectrum of work experience and caring personality plays a big role in the way PQ operates. She enjoys the outdoors and has been hugely inspired by her family members owning their own business’ - this combined with her love of dogs makes the perfect combination.
Fur baby:
Roxy – Labrador Retriever. The mother hen of the PQ pack, she likes to teach the young their manors, play ball with the big boys, or likes to be a comfy cushion for anyone that wants a snooze. A classic lab, she’s a top swimmer, ball player and a treat thief.
Dolly – Labrador Retriever. PQ’s rescued baby. Dolly was rescued in 2022 by Steph. Her pre-rescue story is harrowing and enough to bring anyone to tears but with her new life ahead she is on top form! Her best trick, giving an almighty roar whilst yawning – maybe she’s half lion?
Experience:
Steph has been in the industry for 10+ years with certificates in advanced canine first aid, understanding dogs and dog behaviour. With on-going development in behaviour & nutrition, Steph also attends with the rest of the PQ staff on-going training with PQ’s own vet physiotherapist.

The Rescuer – Becky has had lots of previous work in the animal rescue industry. She brings the calm & understanding nature to the job. Along with all the love and care for every individual pooch.
The Storyteller –Becky could write a book on all the hilarious stories she has since working with animals; she also has some funny hooman ones up her sleeve too!
Anna.
Dog Day Care Assistant
The Human Database – Anna remembers every tiny detail about every dog she meets. She absolutely adores all the PQ pooches and must give each and every pup a cuddle and a fuss!
The Baker/Comedian – Anna loves spoiling the doggies & us with her scrumptious home-made treats. She never fails to make us all laugh when she’s at PQ.
Lisa.
Dog Day Care Assistant & Driver
The all rounder – Lisa does a bit off everything at PQ and helps the team in many ways, from collecting dogs on busier days - to keeping the place like Mrs Hinch has visited!
The cuddler – Lisa is the No.1 Paw Quarters cuddler – she spends most afternoons with a doggy on her lap for cuddle time!
Claudia.
Dog Day Care Assistant
The Newbie – Claudia is the new kid on the block! With a background as a veterinary care assistant and kennel assistant, Claudia brings lots of knowledge and a hands-on experience to the PQ team.
The Volunteer – Claudia has had a lot of experience in volunteering for charities that are conservation based. She has lots of incredible stories & lifelong memories, getting close to some animals in the wild that she never thought she would!
Casey.
Dog Day Care Assistant & Driver
The Chiller – with a relaxed and easy-going approach to life, Casey brings a sense of calm and balance to everything she does.
The smooth operator - Casey has worked within a day care environment for three years previously, so she comes armed with lots of knowledge and experience. Casey hasn’t broken a sweat getting to know the operations at PQ. She takes everything in her stride and all the doggies love her calm and gentle manner.
A day of fun, play and making new fur friends!
